Few places in Halifax are more redolent of the city’s British past than the Lord Nelson Hotel and the Halifax Public Gardens. So join us, The Friends of the Public Gardens, in participating in another great Victorian tradition, Afternoon Tea, in the hotel’s magnificent ballrooms.Should you wish to add piquancy to the occasion, feel free to dress in Victorian style. and remember to bring a parasol for your before or after, self-guided, tour of the Gardens’ glorious springtime luster. Queen Victoria will hold court and judge the most fascinating hat.
Tea will be served between 2 and 4:30 pm. Tickets are $25 per person.
